Things to note before sending money to India

  • For trade-purpose transactions (C2B/B2C/B2B transactions):

  • Trade-purpose transactions are transactions for the purchase of goods, shipping fee, legal, and accounting services. (Legal and accounting services are only for B2C transactions).
  • We can only provide FIRC documents if your B2C/B2B transaction is for trade purposes. What is FIRC?
  • The maximum amount per transaction or invoice is INR 1,500,000.

  • The IFSC code or Bank Branch code must match with the recipient account.

  • The name has to be Alphabetical, not in Hindi and should not consist of any special character like comma “,” or period “.“

How do I categorize my transaction as a C2C, C2B, B2C, or B2B?

Here are some examples of transactions to help you categorize them:

  • If you are an individual sending money to your relatives in India, your transaction is considered C2C.

  • If you use a Topremit for Business account to process payroll to your remote worker in India, your transaction is considered B2C.

  • If you use a Topremit for Business account to pay the shipping fee charged by your business partner, your transaction is considered B2B.
